Bronze Casting Practice - Sand Casting Stone and Bone Tools in Recycled Tin Bronze
Hey everyone! Enjoy this video on some casting that was done with a friend. You can check his work out on Instagram at BurntValleyForge . Hoping to do more casting soon!
The furnace I used is a Gongyi 6kg propane melting furnace that I bought on Amazon. I was looking to build one, but the price was very reasonable so I gave it a try. It has not disappointed. So far I’ve melted about 50 pounds of copper, bronze, and aluminum and it’s holding up well. I’m not affiliated with Gongyi, but I am blown away by how well this works. I have even used it for forge-welding steel. Would buy another, but I may not actually need to in my lifetime. Will have to get a lot of ceramic wool and liner, though.
If you want to get one as well and would like to support the channel, here is an Amazon affiliate link that will send me a portion of your purchase to help keep the lights on!

Making a Glass Knife - Hafting a TV Glass Blade to a Cholla Cactus and Glow in the Dark Stone Handle
Переглядів 8 тис.2 роки тому
Today we’ll be hafting or attaching a knapped blade to a cholla cactus handle. The hollow skeletons of many cholla cactus species make neat handles for knapped knives. I decided to spice things up a little bit and go with the theme of post-apocalypse by filling the hollow cholla handle with glow stones. These “stones” are made of strontium aluminate silicate, the same stuff in high-intensity gl...

How to Make Homemade Target Arrows with Turkey Feathers and a Hand Forged Arrowhead plus Can Forge

While I'm using Doug fir shafts, wood dowels would work as well. The point on this arrow is forged from a piece of 3/8" steel rebar as weighs in at 150 grains. The arrow is spined for a 52 pound centershot bow, which works great out of this 60 pound Bear Cub shoot-around longbow. A huge shout out to NightHawkInLight for his awesome tutorial on this build. This forge is his design and is pretty ...

How to Make Flattening Jigs for PVC Pipe Bows - DIY Archery

Hey everyone! Today we're going back in time to make two simple flattening jigs for tapering and flattening PVC for bows. First up is a simple flexible jig that uses a single 1x4 board with spacers. Next we'll be making a flattening jig that is adjustable so you can go from one diameter of pipe to another and tone-down or ramp-up the weight of a bow by altering thickness. It works well for any ...

This was the original bow I made 10 years ago. Went to a Renaissance fair and shot a bullseye to everyone's dismay. Never even made a grip on the thing. And as crazy as it is I used paracord as a string. Thousands of shots later it's still great and I'm still using the original paracord. Best way to make a beginner bow and a very practical bow.

Your technique is poor and the heat gun seems a bit gutless. Run the gun on max heat for about 20 seconds well away from the bread - so it reaches maximum temperature! Move it SLOWLY over the bread about 1cm away - slow enough to brown the bread as it moves. Do not wave the gun around while toasting the bread. Do both sides - on a ceramic plate or, better still, the breadboard. The bread will remain moist inside - unlike a toaster. Then put a decent cheese, about 1/8" (3mm) thick, on HALF the toasted bread. Melt the cheese with the gun moving it rather more quickly than when toasting but in a regular pattern. When the cheese is pretty thoroughly melted, nick the bread each side, fold it over and eat it. Switching on the heat gun to starting to eat takes about 90 seconds. Eating it about the same! If you like your toast well done but moist inside (I do) it's absolutely unbeatable.

Bro I have been trying to make onw myself just as you show, but i mess it up EVERY SINGLE TIME! It either sticks into itself while heating or just doesnt become as flexible and gets nasty. You've just got the right hands man❤

Yo bro this is so hard to make😭. I ruined eo many pvc pipes doing this but it still didnt go right. I guess its because i dont have a heat gun and used a stove instead. The pvc pipe would heat too much at some points and crumble into itself for some reason
